Oh Theistic Deity I can't take it anymore. A full year and a half to the elections and the viciousness seems to be peaking. First it was Bill O'Reilly vs Keith Olbermann in a petty, pissing contest grudge that seems to have occupied them both more than reporting the news. Of course this is nothing new, left vs right has been the order of the day ever since Rush Limbaugh called for a "Second American Revolution" against Bill Clinton. But this season the brawl seems to be escalating.

First Mr O'Reilly lied on his show saying John Edwards did not fire Catholic bashing bloggers who were working for him, although that is exactly what he had done in the blogger's own words prior to the commentary. He also reported the arrest of a former ACLU chair on pornography charges, declaring it as a condemnation of "secular progressives" as every show he does - if you haven't been to church/mosque this week, that's you! Eh wha?

Next, Ann Coulter recently dropped all pretense of wit and discourse and called John Edwards a "Faggot". Her self-proclaimed boyfriend, Bill Maher, said on his HBO show that Dick Cheney's presence in office is responsible for the deaths of thousands of soldiers. This was a response to his self-proclaimed OTHER girlfriend, Arianna Huffington, (aren't they a sexy couple?) and her decision to remove comments from her website saying that they were glad an assassination attempt was made on him. His comment , now smeared all over the blogosphere, is "If (Cheney) died, other people would live. That's a fact." Congressman Barney Frank also said the bomb attack was "Wasted", in a jab at other comments made by Obama, McCain bla bla.

This is some love triangle here Mr Maher - Ms Coulter has also joked about assassinating President Clinton, so I'm sure they all had a nice chuckle over martinis after the show. I say this as a long time fan, but I was surprised by the comment. Isn't this against the law to advocate assassinating a state leader?

George Carlin described this accurately in his brilliant "Jam it In, New York" show: "Anything they can use, race, background, income, sex, religion...keep us fighting among each other so they, the rich...can keep going to the bank."

Please supernatural teacher of dogma, MAKE IT STOP. That would prove there is a God. I would attend at least Unitarian meetinghouse every Sunday - Church is just asking too much in this life. The Unitarians are "secular progressive" people who teach strong morals and a fulfilling life. What do you think about that?

I'm interested in politics and social issues, and how people like to take sides in the left/right struggle when in fact, everyone is in the MIDDLE. Margaret Cho is on the left, Sean "Jughead" Hammity is on the right, and everyone else is on different points along the massive grid in the MIDDLE. How your values on the war, your family's health, science, and everything else affect your thoughts is what makes you as a person. Corralling people to camps, intimidating people from either side, to obey and not argue, is wrong.

Now this is an unbiased reporter! Two great news sources come together!
